Two of the region’s best known chefs have opened a new Pakington St eatery, writes MIRANDA LUBY

WHEN chefs and friends Matt Dempsey and Graham Jefferies decided to open a new Geelong eatery, the name grew organically. Matt, from Inverleigh’s Gladioli, and Graham, from Melbourne’s Wildflower restaurant, simply followed their successful formula.
‘‘We realised our restaurants’ names had to do with flowers and we pretty quickly came up with Tulip,’’ says Matt, who became friends with Graham after they worked together at Pettavel Winery in 2007.
‘‘Flowers just seem to work for us.’’
